1. Event details and programme
RSPCA ACT reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the Event, including changes to the event schedule, programme, activities, performers, hosts or other event details.
Every effort will be made to deliver the advertised programme; however, specific performers or activities may change due to circumstances outside the organiser's control, including illness, venue requirements or other unforeseen circumstances.
A change to an individual performer, activity or part of the programme will not necessarily entitle a ticket holder to a refund.
RSPCA ACT will communicate significant changes to ticket holders where reasonably practicable.
2. Tickets
Tickets are valid only for the Event, date and session specified at the time of purchase.
RSPCA ACT reserves the right to refuse entry where a ticket is invalid, has been duplicated or obtained fraudulently.
3. Refunds and cancellations
Our refund policy is:
Cancellations made 7 or more days before the Event:
A full refund of the ticket price will be provided.
Cancellations made between 7 days and 48 hours before the Event:
A 50% refund of the ticket price will be provided.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the Event:
No refund will ordinarily be provided. Requests made within 48 hours may be considered in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of RSPCA ACT.
Refund requests must be made by contacting events@rspca-act.org.au.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method where reasonably practicable.
4. Event cancellation or significant changes
If RSPCA ACT cancels the Event, ticket holders will be offered a full refund or, where applicable, the option to transfer their ticket to a rescheduled event.
If the Event is rescheduled, RSPCA ACT will communicate the new date and any applicable ticket transfer or refund options to ticket holders.
RSPCA ACT may also make changes to the Event where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its control, including venue requirements, public health or safety concerns, performer availability or other unforeseen circumstances.
5. Performers and entertainment
The Event features live entertainment and performances. The advertised performer lineup is subject to change.
RSPCA ACT will make reasonable efforts to provide the advertised entertainment; however, individual performers may be replaced or withdrawn due to circumstances outside RSPCA ACT's control.
The content of live performances may include adult themes, humour, language and material intended for an adult audience.
6. Prizes, competitions and giveaways
Any prizes, competitions, giveaways or awards offered during the Event are subject to the specific terms and conditions announced or provided at the time.
RSPCA ACT reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value where circumstances outside its control make the advertised prize unavailable.
7. Responsible service of alcohol
Alcohol will be served in accordance with applicable liquor laws and the policies and requirements of the venue.
The venue and its staff may refuse service to anyone who is intoxicated, behaving inappropriately or otherwise required to be refused service under applicable laws.
No BYO alcohol is permitted.
Attendees must comply with all directions from venue staff relating to the service and consumption of alcohol.
8. Behaviour and respectful conduct
RSPCA ACT is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Attendees are expected to treat performers, staff, volunteers, venue personnel and other guests with respect.
Aggressive, threatening, abusive, harassing, bullying or discriminatory behaviour will not be tolerated.
Violence, threats of violence or serious misconduct may result in immediate removal from the Event and may affect eligibility to attend future RSPCA ACT events.
RSPCA ACT and the venue reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, unlawful or inappropriate, or who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions or a reasonable direction from event or venue staff.
9. Photography and filming
Photography and filming may take place during the Event for RSPCA ACT's event, fundraising, marketing and promotional purposes.
By attending the Event, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in photographs or video captured during the Event.
If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, please speak with an RSPCA ACT staff member upon arrival. We will take reasonable steps to accommodate your request, although we cannot guarantee that you will not appear incidentally in crowd or event footage.
Attendees must respect performers and other guests and must follow any reasonable directions regarding photography or filming.
10. Prohibited substances and items
Illegal drugs and substances are not permitted at the Event.
Any person found possessing, using or supplying illegal substances may be refused entry or removed from the Event and, where appropriate, the matter may be referred to police.
Weapons and other prohibited items are not permitted at the Event.
11. Entry and removal
RSPCA ACT and the venue reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the Event, any person who:
- breaches these Terms and Conditions or venue requirements;
- fails to follow a reasonable direction from event, venue or security staff;
- behaves in a threatening, disruptive, abusive or unsafe manner;
- is intoxicated to a level where entry or continued attendance is considered inappropriate; or
- presents a risk to the safety or wellbeing of themselves or others.
Where a person is refused entry or removed due to their behaviour or breach of these Terms and Conditions, they will not ordinarily be entitled to a refund.
Anyone asked to leave the Event must do so promptly and follow the directions of event, venue or security staff.
12. Venue requirements
The Event is being held at the German Harmonie Club. All attendees must comply with the venue's rules, conditions of entry, licensing requirements and reasonable directions from venue staff.
13. Feedback and concerns
If you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour or feel unsafe during the Event, please speak with an RSPCA ACT staff member, volunteer, venue staff member or as soon as possible.
We welcome feedback about the Event and may contact attendees after the Event to seek feedback and suggestions for future events.
